At Willand Holiday Club we are committed to providing children with a place where they can have fun, make friends, feel valued and have the opportunity to grow and explore through a range of ‘play activities and experiences, facilitated by a qualified staff team in a secure environment. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, allowing children to wind down from term-time but remain stimulated.
We open at 8am and close at 6pm.
The Holiday Club runs during the Febuary Half Term, Easter Holidays, May Half Term, Summer Holidays and the October Half Term. The only time we close is during the Christmas Holidays.
Each holiday has its own theme and activities and games are planned around this. Some recent activities include:
• Painting, with sponges, marbles, string, vegetables, rollers and even hands.

• Knitting and Sewing
• Tye Dying
• Making Felt Purses and Wallets
• Chalk Pictures
• Jewellery Making

• Pom pom animals
• Cooking, buns, bread, pizza, cakes and biscuits
All activities are carefully planned and adapted to meet all the children’s individual needs and abilities.
The accent is definitely on fun with a wide range of indoor and outdoor games and sports, such as:

There is a wide variety of board games, constructions toys, puzzles, books, magazines for all abilities. The books range from encyclopedia’s to classics and are suitable for all children.
There is fresh drinking water available all day and snacks at 10:15am and 14:15pm. The snacks consist of a carbohydrate, such as bread stick, bagel, crumpet or a piece of toast, a slice of apple and another fruit. There is also a light tea at 4pm, the menu is altered seasonally and is compiled by the children.
It is advisable to book early if you require a place at holiday club as spaces fill very quickly. We do require payment with the booking form, which is non refundable. The prices are as follows:
Full Day
£32 for the first child (3yrs+) and £38 for the first child (2yrold)
£20.50 for siblings
Half Day
£22.50 for the first child (3yrs+) and £24.50 for the first child (2yrold)
£14.50 for siblings
Half days are 8am to 1pm or 1pm to 6pm.
At Willand Holiday club we follow the Playwork Principles. These Principles help us to ensure we are providing the best possible opportunities to meet every individual child’s play needs, make friends, and have fun whilst learning about the environment and world around them. These principles establish the professional and ethical framework for playwork, and describe the importance and what is unique about play.
